Hi all,
Going to Arillas for the first time 09/06/12 and can't wait to get there. Been to Corfu several times before, usually stay in Paleokastritsa but fancied a change this year and Arilllas looks like exactly the sort of place for us. Question is are there any cash machines in Arillas, we are staying at the Marina hotel which looks gorgeous so directions from there to any machines would be great.

I hope I will be proved wrong but I doubt there will be an ATM machine in Arillas this summer. The last one was taken away by the bank for economic reasons and personally I cannot see the present economic conditions will convince the bank to repeat its experience. I believe the business owners are currently lobbying the bank to get the ATM returned.
Your nearest one will be over the hill in Agios Stefanos, a 30minute walk. But if you intend hiring a bike or car for a day or so, as many visitors do, it is no trouble to pick your cash up on one of your trips. Besides Ag Stef several of the larger villages in the area have them Visit the Forum on arillas.com for instructions on walking to Ag Stef, and also for updates on the ATM situation. We have been visiting Agios Georgios for 18 years and there has been no ATM there at all. Visitors there just adapt. Dennis |

Can you tell me where the ATM is in Ag. Stephanos please. We have a place in Kavadades and thought that the nearest ATM, after Arillas closed, was in Sidari. Thanks.

There is an ATM at the Thomas Bay hotel in San Stef - though I have often found it empty! Next nearest is in middle of Avliotes. There are several in Sidari.

Although not as close to Kavadades as Avliotes, if you happen to be travelling south anyway (Corfu town direction) there is an ATM in the centre of Agros which is worth remembering. It is in a booth almost opposite the turn to Dafni. Dennis |

I recall using that in September 2010. Luckily I don't think it was empty then! Of course things have changed a lot in the 18 months since I was there so maybe being empty is a sign of the times? David |

Have heard a new ATM is being installed (not sure where in the resort) and also a new one in San Stefanos near San Stef Travel

There is a brand new (working) ATM next to the chemist in Arillas. Look left having come down the hill from Kavadades and it's just by the right turn up to San Stephanos.
