We are holidaying in Kalami for the first time in August. How busy do the restaurants get in peak season and would we need to pre-book? We are a family of four.

We are staying at San Antonio Resort, bed and breakfast, and will definitely be eating out every night.

Thanks.

Most tavernas are at peak occupancy in August, if you have a preference, on the sea front-away from the kitchen for example, booking would be advisable.

Definitely book. If you want a particular table you may have to be more organised, otherwise call in earlier in the day to book for the evening should be sufficient.

Great, thanks. With so few restaurants there I thought as much. Will pop in for lunch and reserve for dinner!

You might want to book a day or two before for a particular table.

Also plan which nights you intend to go to Dimitris and the tavernas at Agni and ask Gina to book them for you at the beginning of your week.

We always go in either May or September and we find we have to book then to be to the safe side and then were glad we did. If you walk round to Kouloura then you will definitely have to book in advance as it's so popular.

Also Leelee36 if you are going to Agni Bay in the evening, to any of the Tavernas, you will definitely have to book the boat and your table, a day or two in advance for a table at the front.

Enjoy!  Annie

We go every year either the first 2 weeks of July or the first 2 weeks of September. The only time we book is if we want to reserve a particular table. Other than that you can just turn up and get a table.

The tavernas are definitely nowhere near as busy as they were when we first went to Kalami in 1999.  Then you had to book otherwise you'd run the risk of not getting a table at all.  Now a lot of people "eat at home" a couple of nights during their holiday to keep costs down.
