We are staying in a villa in Agni next May, 5 adults and 5 kids, we normally stay in all inclusive hotels so are wondering what the cost of food and eating out is compared to UK. I emailed nearby Nissaki Beach hotel who are open to none residents to ask for an evening meal price and it was 16 euro per adult and 8 per child but child age was 12 or under so only two of the kids could get the reduced rate, no drinks included. It seems a bit pricy to me and think maybe we could eat in most tavernas for around the same price, what does everyone else think? Or is there any other hotels that accept none residents for me to try, have never visited Corfu before, thanks in advance.

You certainly won't get two for the price of one but there are tavernas where you can get meals cheaper, be prepared to go further afield if you want a lot cheaper. You have picked a fantastic area to holiday

I doubt that you will eat for less at the surrounding tavernas than €16 each unless you only want one course. The price at the Nissaki Beach hotel is for a buffet meal with as many courses as you want and as much as you can eat. The food is a fairly good standard with lots of variety. It does, of course, also include as much ice cream and cake as you and the kids can eat!!

Thanks for your reply, it's a great help. Have you an idea of how far Nissaki Beach hotel is from Agni bay where we are staying, we are hiring a car but don't mind walking if it's not a million miles away, thanks.

Travelling by car it's just over a mile from Agni bay to the Nissaki beach hotel as you have to go up a steep hill to the main road and then back down to the hotel or if it's light you can walk along the coastal path which is less than half a mile but I wouldn't recommend it in the dark. Of course it depends exactly where you are staying in Agni bay. I assume you are up the Agni road which would make it less than a mile to walk but rather hilly. |

You might get a starter in the surrounding areas for 16 euros!
![]() If you hire a car then you can explore the coast and Ipsos and Barbati (South) will offer good value food, as will Kassiopi, New Perithia, Acharavi and Roda (North).
Enjoy

Wow, the offer of Nissaki Beach hotel is a really good deal then, just hoping we can decide on a daily basis if we want to eat there as want to explore and have the option of trying other places to eat, will give hotel a mail and see how much notice they need, thanks for your info.

If you are in Agni, then you can take the boat taxi around to the other nearby bays, which have a good selection of places to eat:
Going North - Kalami has Thomas's Place, and the White House and A&A. Ag. Stephanos NE has four waterside tavernas and two bars, both places are accessable by boat taxi at night. Your villa will proabably have details of how to book.
Going South - in Nissaki village on the main road but with a wonderful view, there are plenty of places to eat. Vitamins is lovely home cooked food and very good value or there is the pizza place (made by a very enthusiastic Italian) which delivers (I think) and probably a few more that we havent found yet/tried.
North of you past Kalami and Ag.Steph - Kassiopi has the biggest choice in one place but is a little way north of you, but would be worth it for one evening just to go and visit.

Thanks for the great info, liking the sound of the pizza place. Is there any English reastuarants nearby Agni? Would make my teenager very happy if he could get a roast dinner?
