If you could have one meal and one meal only in Kassiopi which would you choose. For me this year after much deliberation I would have to go for the Meat plate and wine at Tavernaki Taverna. What's yours?
Keep taking your, take a holiday in kassiopi pills.

I had the oven baked seabass with vegtables at To Kyma and it was amazing.
Also, the service and views were fantastic.
To be fair, we are based in Acharavi so didn't eat at Tavernaki this year.
On my list for next year though.

If the old Stroffilia had been open it would be Steak Stroffilia. But it's not. So it would have to be Folded Lamb from Petrino.

Cant comment on a particular meal, its just fodder to me, but the after dark views across the harbour from Tavernaki are quite spectacular.
Just sitting there makes all meals a favourite.
Also based in Acharavi.

I would have chicken souvlakia at the roadside restaurant just before you leave the harbour. I've forgotten the name, it's an age thing. Anyway I will definitely be living in Kassiopi next year, my house is almost done. Any help with my one acre garden: (field) will be welcomed.
Frank.

I've been thinking about this since I first saw this thread yesterday morning.   My answer would be different depending whether we're talking lunch or dinner and what time of the season.  As we've been home only two weeks from this year's visit my memories are fresh and we had many good meals during our stay.  The one that keeps popping into my head though is a lunch. For the quality of the food, the location, the staff, the ambiance and the view - a club sandwhich, greek salad and a glass of the very nice, dry, white, house wine at Limani.

There are SO many lovely places to choose from...For me it would be a close thing between Fillet steak Janis special (at Janis) and the Stifado at Sousouru (amazing)

Like Deedee it may depend on whether it was lunch or dinner but after three lovely holidays in Kassiopi this year I would say lunch, calamari with a Greek salad at Cavo Barbaro, Avlaki the first being 2 hours after we land in Corfu! The calamari is the best I have ever eaten anywhere so lightly cooked always superb and their Greek salads are so good too and as for the view, well its all just gorgeous Wink

Tavernaki is on right hand side of the harbour (if you're looking towards the sea), just before Virginia's snack bar.  Tavernaki was previously at Sinies, moved to Kassiopi this year. Definitely worth a visit.  We dined there twice during our recent stay in Kassiopi and thoroughly enjoyed the food and the overall experience.  We also dined at and enjoyed Melina Bay, Petrino and Sousouro.

Deedee,
Thank you for that. I walk around with my eyes closed most of the time. But if you walk past Tavernaki to the piles of boulders, that are probably the foundations for a walkway when they've settled down and concreted over, and if you can carefully step your way to the end of them, turn around with your back to the sea, get out your binoculars and look up, halfway up the hills is my newly built house. I know I'm showing off but who wouldn't. I can't wait to move there permanently.

You're welcome and you show off to your heart's content.  Of course, now I know where you live, I might just wander up and see if you're home next time I'm on the island!
