Booked flights today after thinking I would never get a good price this late on, usually book when they are released in September time. For some reason clicking on the link to Monarch via the skyscanner website the price was £207 with Norwegian, opposed to £285 on the Norwegian website???
Arrive 25th July staying at Vavilas fishing huts this time, my fave taverna in Arillas. The studios look fabulous with a stunning garden and pool. Then over the hill to Angela apartments (our 4th time) So glad it's done now, don't have to think about it anymore 😁 |

Had our very first visit to Arillas last month after years of stopping in San Stef. We have to say that we were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed it.
The apartments we stopped in, Rainbow Complex, were just what we wanted. Very clean, functional, quiet and brilliant hosts and fellow guests. We ate out somewhere different on each of our 7 nights and had food ranging from excellent to exceptional. Would we stay there again? Yes because we now know what everyone else sees in Arillas.

Came to Arillas 2 years ago and thought we had made a big mistake. The village had suffered a 3 day storm and the beach was covered completely in sea weed. Along the beach front most of the lights were out and there were a number of broken benches facing out to sea. We soon found the charm and beauty of the place and people and are now hooked.
Fast forward to May 2014 and the sea front has been spruced up with new stone benches, wooden benches, steps and wide paved ramp to the beach. Stone flower beds have been created along the sea front with new paved and decked areas and to cap it all a new mermaid sitting on top of a rock plinth was unveiled last week. Well done to Arillas for making your resort such a pleasure to visit. Eating out is a treat due to the varied traditional tavernas. A word of warning about the coastal path to San Stephanos. Due to erosion the path is reduced to about 2 foot width with a steep unprotected drop to the left. Better to walk along the beach and make your way up the wooden steps and then join the path as it winds away from the coastal edge. Afionas village 45 minutes walk is a must and the views are amazing. We are just so pleased that we found Arillas after many years visiting the north east Coast. Can't wait to return later in the year. ps. your money goes further here than on the north east Coast which has become somewhat expensive. |
