Hi Samtim, I would recommend going to the NSK website, they organise a lot of excursions priced between 20-30E. There is hireboats, 2 companies but sorry I don't know prices as a lot of it goes by fuel prices. There are 2-3 hire places for scooters and buggies, we used sunriders to hire bicycles last year at 5E a day. There are pedalos for hire outside the Harbour Bar, I think about 7-10 E. With the season not started and with the Greek economy the way it is prices are hard to know. We have found with the 6 years we have been going to Roda prices don't vary much. There is more in Acharavi, a short walk along the beach but they tend to be more expensive. We adore Roda and hope you do too. BevWink

Samtim,

When you are in Roda, go down to the beach look left to the furthest point and walk there (if you are able to).  We have done it quite a few times, it is a few miles but the walk does you good and it is free.  There is also a nudist beach up there as well.  My advice is take alot of water!

Regards, Pegasus.

Pegasus don't you mean look and turn right?Wink If you go left the path goes just past the Mitsis Resort. The walk you have mentioned is fab, we got as far as St Georges and that was enough for me. A lot of water is a definite must I agree. Bev

Hi Bev D,

Oooops, yes look to the right, hands up!  Sorry about that.  I tend to get blisters which are not helpful when you are going on a long walk but I managed it.

Regards,
Pegasus.

Hi Kernowman,

I didn't realise it was that far, however we have walked in different places 15 kms in a day, so we don't do too bad and I certainly am not fit, but I don't mind walking about in alot of heat.  I use the car at home so never really really walk anywhere.

Regards,
Pegasus.

1) Chill out
2) Only eat Greek meals
3) Drink plenty and not only water

Kernowman, I totally concur. They are the 3 best. 27 days until the start of my Greek Odyessy and that means 39 days until I reach Roda for those activities.Big smileBig smile Bev
