Hi Ross
We are there in September too so if we overlap perhaps we'll see you around.
Can't wait for the first visit & report from a site member so we know whether there have been any changes.

After many years of Steph and I telling them what a wonderful place Kalami is and how nice the A&A are, the in-laws have taken the plunge and booked for the 4th May so hopefully will get news of any changes. I know when we were there in September they were having quite a lot of building materials delivered.

Hi everyone, nice to be back. this is my first posting on the new look forum. Thanks for bringing it back, have missed you.
Just a quick question about the A & A, does anyone know if there is a good sea view from block 5 at the A&A? We have always stayed in block 6 but thought a little lower down would be good for a change. Thank you. Cara. ![]() |

Block 5 can be higher that block 6 as this is the block that runs up from the top pool to the top road.

I thought that the floor the upper pool is on was block 6 which leads up to the top road? I thought that when we came a couple of years ago we were in room 611/612 and that was in line with the pool? Is it in fact floor 4 that I'm after and is there a sea view from there? Or maybe I'm misunderstanding the layout?
Thanks Wilf. |

Hi Caramc64
You and Wilf are both right as regards proximity to the top pool. Block 6 actually has 4 levels so some of the apartments in block 6 are on the same level as the top pool although they are about 200 metres from it. We stayed in 611 in 2008, very convenient for the top pool but also quiet & peaceful. 5 is the two level block with the refurbished apartments. The lowest apartments in block 5 are level with the top pool, the highest apartments in block 5 are above the top level of block 6.
All the apartments have sea views. Some of them may be half sea half village or be part framed by the rooves (or is it roofs? Never sure about that one.) of the block below you. We've stayed in blocks 1 & 5 several times and also on two different levels of block 6. In 2010 we were in 604, we could see the sea but not as much of it as we would have liked, the view was mostly olive grove. Having said that though we quickly came to appreciate how peaceful & quiet that apartment was even though it was only 5 mins from Cocktails & Dreams and when offered the opportunity to move we chose to stay put. Last year we were on the lower floor of block 1, the lowest level there is, and had such a beautiful view of Kalami bay that we sometimes had to force ourselves to leave the apartment.

Thank you Deedee and Topchef, maybe I should just be grateful that we are going but feel that we don't want the hike that we had last year (624), just thought it might be nice to be a little lower down but not not too near the bottom, after all Topchef if YOU are going to be up til 3 I will be the one wanting peace and quiet!

Last year we were in room 601 which had a good sea view and was only a short walk to the top pool. There was one apartment further down the block that had an olive tree growing through the balcony so not sure how that would affect the view. We would be more than happy to stop in this apartment again as its very quiet at night if you just want to sit on the balcony and chill out with a bottle of ouzo and a good book

I've read this whole thread and I am none the wiser as to what the A & A is, is it better than a B & B?

Hi Ska81
The safe deposit boxes are in reception. Reception is usually open 8am till midnight.
Hi Cor! Phew!
The A&A is the Adonis & Asonitis apartments. All self catering, some via Thompson and some direct. Their website is http://www.asonitisadonis.com. Suits us much better than a B & B

Just been down to the A&A. Nothing much has changed except the reception area which has had a complete revamp. Lots of work going on down there with general cleaning up and painting.

That explains why Gina was trying to sell me some of the plates and stuff around the walls last September!
