I have just had a message that Costa has decided that Kapareli Taverna will open on 27th April, now that is a Sunday, so I wouldn't be surprised if they don't actually open on Saturday 26th as a sort of dummy run just to get the kitchen firing on all cylinders so to speak.
Either way, as for many years now, we will be there in the same way we are always there on closing night.

Excellent - give all my best wishes. Lynn is in the air as I type this and I will be there on Thursday, so will get down to Stephanos either on Thursday or Friday - remember that "excuse" to check out the mooring facilities.  Won't be eating in the taverna until (probably) 10th May, at the end of the sailing trip.
I believe that the "plan" is for The Pump House on Friday evening, but no doubt this will all be changed later!

Take care
Martyn

I didn't join up the dots of various posts, so it was a great surprise to see Martytn G seated 2 rows in front of Wendy and me this morning, Thursday, so yes settled in to the house for the rest of the day. Tomorrow after a visit to the bank we will give San Stephanos a visit to see what has changed since November.
I do know that Aaron and Francesca have been retained for this season along with another waiter. The chef will be little Costa from a few years ago, Katerina having moved on.
More news when we have it.
Off to Binelikia tonight to see the new premises.

Well Binelikia wasn't open this evening, so made for Zephyros at Almyros, just us two and some locals sitting round the fire.
Best Mousaka for miles, nuff said.

We are going to Corfu for Easter (again - can't wait) but will be in town until Monday afternoon.
Please - does anyone know who is planning to open for the early season and when at Agios Stephanos?
Thank you.

As this particular thread has gone off track a bit, I'll try and sort it out for you.
Zephyros taverna is not located in San Stephanos, but is in Almyros between San Spiridon and Acharavi.
Coming from Kassiopi direction, after the Perithia turn off, about 1km further on you pass a little taverna on the left Han side of the road (Mythos taverna) take the next right turn by the old council yard, just follow the road and Zephyros is at the cross roads.

When I spoke to Costas last week, he said that he may open on 25th April but wasn't sure. He may leave it until Easter weekend.

The Taverna is looking good, with nice new touches.
