Does anyone know which bus goes from Corfu Town to Aghios Mattheos, and if it carries on down to Skala or Paramonas beach.
I am thinking of booking the Pension Skala for a stay in the summer but will not have a car, will be coming from Arillas so hoping there would be a bus from the green bus station.
If anyone knows of this place is it walking distance to the village, it's difficult to tell on the maps I've looked at.
Many Thanks
Carol

Hi Carol,
l've just written a reply to you and deleted it accidentally. I think there is a bus, l'm sure l've seen it on one of the signs at the bus station. I think Mike and l walked there when we stayed in Agios Georgios South, a beautiful walk. We have definitely driven through. The pension is lovely isn't it? Does that mean that you're not going to Paleo in May? Still hoping to have a week in Paxos before Liapades.

The latest Green Bus Timetables can be found here.
The timetable is updated month by month. Yammas, Colin.

Thanks Colin,
That's good news there are quiet a few buses.
I only had the bus timetable with the major resorts not villages so that was very helpful.

This is what the forum is all about Carol, we are able to pass on information to our members about many services. In the past KTEL blocked their timetables as they were being abused. The current one is from the 1st November 2013 and when the holiday season starts in 2014 will contain up to date information.
Yammas Colin.

After reading the rough guide it seems like the beach is a long way from Paromanos itself and the village so will probably just visit by car from Messonghi rather than stay there. Although Pension Skala does look very nice, I guess you would need transport to access the beaches and the village.
Thanks for your help anyway.

From memory Paramonas and Ag Matthous are quite a distance from each other. You would definitely need a car to get from one to another. Messonghi would be nearer, taking the road to Kavos and turning off somewhere after Argirades.
