I understand I can pay my electricity bill online. Does anyone have the website address for AEH or maybe contact details for their new offices by the port in town.

Bill paid. Two years in one go - ouch!! We had never received an electricity bill to date and apparently they have been delivered to Gimari but nobody knows where to.

Hi Sue, much like our water bills, we've never received for the last 20 something years, we had to go and ask.
We pay our telephone and lecky bills by direct debit, works for us.
As the water bill now comes from Corfu town it arrives OK.

Must say I was impressed with the ease to pay online once I eventually received actual bill - goes to show that Greece can get it right. Bob where did you go to sort out the water bills as this is the next on the list.

Sue, you go to your local Dimos office and ask for the water office.
Ours in Acharavi has moved around a bit since we have been here. But now is located in the Council office set back off the main road, the water office is as you enter at the front, its signed, but check the opening hours.

Thanks Bob. Not sure where the nearest is to Kalami.  We will not be there until March but if you waited 20 years am sure a few more months will be ok - curious, did you have 20 years of bills waiting?

No we didn't wait 20 years we went and asked for it every year, they said we didn't exist, but we insisted and after much mumbling and searching in files, there we were on file after all.
We went through this ritual year after year.
The nearest Dimos to you in Kalami is on the main road as you come up out of Kalami. They will know where your water office is located.

No, I think Dimos means council. As in Dimos Thinalion (Acharavi region) or Dimos Kassiopion, (your region)
I doubt that I am completely correct, but near enough.

You are correct Bob - I looked it up and could also mean 'people' in a loose term. ie. council

If you are near to Kalami, you will need to goto the Town Hall building that sits just above Kalami bay (the pale pink-ish square building with a wonderful view). The entry road is just behind the Periptero on the main road near to the Kouloura viewing point.
That is where we go to pay our water bill each time, the bill is left either at the local post office or in our post box.
Not certain precisely where you are but in case it is useful - the post office in Kassiopi has moved and is on the right hand side as you go into town, just past the new car park.
For your post to be delivered to your address, you need to tell the post office exactly where your house is, or just go in to collect post when you are there.

Thanks Holhil. We are in Kalami village and I know the Town Hall well. Unfortunately most times I have visited lately they have been on strike LOL. No bills at the post office and told that our post had been delivered somewhere in Gimari but even the post office did not know whereabouts!!!
Hey Ho we still have water and Town Hall will still be there in March. A great excuse to be on that first direct flight me thinks.
