I came across this really good website for Benitses and Corfu www.corfubenitses.gr - many interesting links, history, old and new photos, Benitses in the old days - and now, Corfu links etc. Especially "Benitses tourist evolution", about Benitses in the 60's; many famous visitors found this untouched traditional fishing village before the tourist trade set in and eventually ruined it. John Lennon was a regular visitor, as Paul McCartney, Audrey Hepburn, Paul Newman...
Benitses is finally picking up, a new marina, fantastic tavernas with fantastic food, cafes, crystal clear water, one of my favourite places these days!

Amazing photographs have been going to Benitses since 1976 and recognize one or two faces, really has changed from those early days. Great website
