We've had opinions on top 5 places we like to eat, can any body come up with their single most favourite dish?
All the food is great in all the tavernas, but I would nominate the magnificent Mithopilafo in Sousouro. It is fresh mussels cooked with onion, peppers and rice and for that authentic Greek identity, finished with a spoonful or so of ouzo.
The result is a stunning plateful to eat on your own or if with friends, as the centrepiece to a Sousouro meze feast.

Oh, my mouth is watering now at the thought of it and as it's Saturday night later ...

I have two favourite dishes at the moment...both very different but equally delicious.  I can't choose between them which to put first. They are the feta cooked over charcoal at Tragos and the Ouzo mussels from Sousouro...They are Johns favourites too!!

Ooh, I've never had that Bambas, but it sound delish! My fave dish is a Sousouro one also but, it's their kleftico. Slow roasted lamb until it's falling off the bone, with potatoes and veg. It's just over 2 months til we're there!

Easy for me Petrinos baked feta cheese I would have it for all 3 courses if I could and when I was there I also tried the folded lamb as recommended on here and that was also delicious.

We were going to go to Castillo because we have never been and ended up at Petrinos for the stifado instead.

As some are having two I don't want to feel left out so I also nominate Greek Sausage with dressings from the takeaway near the SchoolhousePig

Imerolia Mussels - still hoping to find out the 'secret' ingredient Smile
Then there's the Shrimp in bacon at Charcoal Grill ...
Then there's the mushroom/lobster/champagne starter at Petrinos ...
And, not in Kassiopi, but just HAVE to have the lamb kleftico at Tzelatis in New Perithia
Then there's ... OK I'll give up now Big smile
But not without a mention for somebody's wonderful courgette fritters!!!

And will definitely be trying the Sousouro mussels this time.

When it comes down to it there isn't really a bad meal to be had in Kassiopi.
