I used to go to Sidari in early May and how wonderful it is, not always sunny but just a wonderful time of year.

Try the hotel and see if they are using another tour operator, worth a try

Yes Muffy seems you are right - hotel is open July-August.  I am gobsmacked as I couldn't get in there last September as it was full to the rafters and so I had to book other apartments - but I still spent most of my time there.  Maybe the tour operator will add it again for September if their other properties get full.

Has anyone heard anything about Monika's on the beach road closing?  Just went on to book my August holiday on Olympic and someone has posted on the Olympic forum that they have had a letter to say it is closing! I am a bit bemused as I know the staff there and have had an email off one of them saying they have been told they have a contract for this year.  Any info appreciated as I want to book on Monday and haven't had a reply off my contacts there.

Drove through the center of Sidari today (nice and sunny) and lots of people were out and about doing up their shops/bars, there is no shortages here on Corfu, life is the same.

Been to Sidari  a few times, bit worried due to the crises about shortages of fuel food and beer or the cost for tourists. I know its tough right now for the locals but will Sidari carry on as normal or will we see much of a difference?
