Hi, I am trying to plan a wedding in Greece next year (June 2014). There is only going to be 6 of us and a 2 year old child. I am torn between Zante and Corfu. I understand that you can only marry in a register office in Corfu, but can say your vows elsewhere. Ideally I would like a pretty waterside location followed by a lovely meal at a tavern which has good food and atmosphere with perhaps some entertainment such as music and dancing. Can anyone recommend any venue's that would fit the bill? I can find alot of information on Zante wedding venue's but not so much on Corfu, not sure why!I like the look of Paleokastritsa but am open to suggestions. If anybody has any wedding experiences I would love to hear from you.

Many thanks
Janine

Heard on here that you can get married and have your resseption in JANIS in Kassiopi Corfu. Not a hundred percent about the accurassy of it but Im sure if you contact Mike and Vera at Cosmic Travel they will advise you on your wedding. Hope this helps

You can get married on the beach at San Stefanos NW, organised through San Stefanos travel.

A wedding organised by them was recently featured on episode 1 in the series ‘Corfu – a tale of two islands’.

Fantastic location, San Stefanos travel specialise weddings and come highly recommended.

However it is actually not legal to get married on a beach (don't ask me how they managed it for the cameras) so don't bank on being able to do it. There are many wedding planners, personal local favourite is Ann Kantas, of Achilleas Tours, but Ionian Weddings in Twickenham are also excellent- Google them- and they do the other islands too.

Hi Janine,
Congratulations! I got married in 2008 in Kassiopi town hall. This is actually much closer to Kalami and has wonderful views over Kouloura and towards Corfu Town in the distance. There were only 4 of us so we had a wonderful meal at Thomas' Place Taverna afterwards in Kalami. This is right on the beach so we had many of our photographs taken there.
We used Olympic Weddings and found their service excellent. The accommodation we wanted to stay in wasn't with Olympic but this wasn't a problem, we just paid them for the wedding services

Love Bronwen xx
