Would be grateful for any advice. Am going to Eriva this year and just wondered anyone who has been out already, how long was the transfer from the airport to Eriva??? The only reason I ask, we have gone independently the last few years and know that I can be in resort within 40-45 minutes by taxi - the thought of the coach, am not looking forward to it.

It really does vary on how many people are going to the area.
In previous years, we've been lucky in that the coach only went to Acharavi, Roda and then onto Sidari, other times it seems to have stopped everywhere. On googling I see that both Thomas Cook & Monarch have Eriva on their books, I can't imagine they would share the coach as there is over 3 hours between flights. So it then depends on how many other resorts the tour operator has on their books. |

We have done the coach transfer in less than an hour, other times it took nearer 2 hours. As said above, just depends on the day/amount of drop offs the coach driver has...if it bothers you I would say choose a taxi, should be around 50 euro.

If your going by Coach I'm sorry to say that you are most likely to go via Sidari then Roda then Acharavi. I asked why always Sidari first. The answer I got was that the road up the west side was quickest and easiest for the driver. Spare a thought for those who get dropped off in Kassiopi, going that way.

We went in June and it took an hour from airport to Eriva, we were second stop after Kamari. We arrived at 4am in the morning and was so pleased when the rep told us! Going home took about 1 hour 40mins, pick up time was ten to one in morning, but we went onto Kassiopi afterwards to pick up there. Hope this helps x

Hiya Davy I guess it depends on who the tour operator is. We've always used the coach transfer and in my personal experience, the coach has never gone to Sidari first, on the majority of occasions, Sidari have always had their own coach. Only once has the coach gone to Roda first, then to Acharavi, I know not where after as I'd got off. This was with First Choice though, I'm hoping Monarch/Cosmos make it nice and easy for us in just under two weeks time. |

This year we had a mix of Monarch/Cosmos and Thompsons on the same Coach (Sidari Travel). We booked with Monarch/Cosmos. We landed at 3.40 pm. Had our luggage at 4.05 (Amazing) But did not get to resort Kassiopi till 7.15pm. Even then we did not get what we had booked but that's another story.

I suppose one way round it would be to turn up at your coach and ask the rep immediately (in case they dont get on the coach with you) how many stops there are to your accomodation? If they tell you its loads, then you can tell them you prefer to take a taxi, and go and pick one up outside? If they say yours is second stop or suchlike, you may then prefer to take a chance on the bus xxx

Well Acharavigirl I suppose, if she doesnt want the two hour transfer
...as she said in her original post, she normally takes a taxi when travelling independantly.

Many thanks for all your replies. I think when I land I will ask the rep what the situation is and if its a long transfer, I'll just get a taxi and of course pick up the cost. Thanks again
