Marmite!!! We start eating it daily around a month before then take some with us.
The mozzies absolutely hate it and generally won't have a nibble at you!!!
Other than that, Yorkshire tea and Douwe Egberts!!!

I take teabags for the apartment, but also take fresh semi-skimmed milk with me in a little bottle when we go out for breakfast, because I can't stand the long-life stuff everywhere uses.

None! The treats are all there! There are too many thats why we go. Mind you I reckon you can buy just about everything anyway nowadays its not like 30 years ago when there was nothing like what you have at home.
enjoy what you can when you can!

Please, and I am truly not joking, can someone explain to me the delights of tea drinking. Maybe three times a year I feel like a cup of tea, certainly never more than that, yet I know that many people would find it hard to live without a cup of their favourite brew! What is its attraction?

Well if I get up in the morning & have a Mythos as apposed to a cupper, Ive got problems, & its fair to say its not for everyone, both me son & daughter dont bother with tea or coffee or very rarely do, not only do I enjoy me cupper first thing (not a breakfast eater) it has to be Ringtons, not an attraction to me just a preferance Thumbs Up

Surely tea drinking is a British institution, although more people are drinking coffee, which I only drink occasionally.
What's your favoured drink Janmanessi?  Surprised if it wasn't one of the two, and surprised that your surprised so many people love their tea!Confused

No, Janet123 I am not surprised, but was genuinely curious as I drink a cup of coffee (so weak that my friends say it is just slightly beige milk and water!) and that is usually my only hot drink of the day over!

I like water in summer, especially the sparkling variety.

In the evening I am likely to curl up in an armchair with a glass of wine rather than a hot drink.

Maybe it is because my mother developed a taste for tea with no milk sugar or lemon- born of necessity during the war- so tea never appeared appealing to me as a small child.

I find tea very refreshing, not only in the morning but on a hot day. I assume this is why they drink a lot of it in Asia, a hot drink brings reacts with the body and actually reduces how hot you feel

I only drink one or two cups of coffee a day because I will end up with a headache if I drink more

Alcohol, not that keen to be honest - sorry everyone LOL

Water, yes drink that too on a hot day in between the tea LOL I always have a glass of water by my bed at night

I suspect habits do go back to childhood. We were only ever given tea or water as kids, never coffee or fizzy drinks. A bottle of pop was a special treat for us on a Sunday!!!
