For us it would be a choice between Thalassa, Zephyros or Ortholithi on the beach or Linda's or Argo on the main street. Ortholithi do a great greek night on a wednesday. Try a late night in Robin's Nest, its crazy!! Or a supermarket party in Gee Bees supermarket!
Just got back from a week in AG in the early hours of this morning, wishing we were back!! Gill |

The Greek evening at Ortholithi on a Wednesday is well worth a visit. Just 2 dancers, 2 musicians, it is a real family affair rather than one of the set piece events staged at larger locations. Visit there the previous day and reserve your table and maybe pre-order one of their off menu specials. Being right on the beach you will also be able to view one of the fabulous west coast sunsets.

Alexis is there 24/7 so you can visit regardless of the duration of your holiday in the resort. As you only have a couple of days I offered a location suggestion that might be of interest if dates were right.

We are in Corfu for 21 nights in Kassiopi, but we have booked rooms for a stop overs in A.G and one in Parga. Visited A.G a good few times but only during the day for the beach and the place up the mountain for the views can't remember its name. Perhaps you could help.

We had a lovely holiday in Parga 10 years ago, we stayed in some studios right on Valtos beach. We had a favourite tavern called Sakis, if you walk up from the main town to the castle then turn right its just about 100m up on the right. When you asked for the bill Dad would come up, ask what you had eaten then add it up in his head or write on the paper table cloth. It got cheaper the more times you went!! Free garlic bread to start and always free ouzo at the end of the meal. If it got busy they would just put more table out in the road!! Loved it The place in the mountains you are thinking of above Agios Gordios is maybe Pentati? Lovely tavernas there, either Angela's or Chris's place.

Davyboy has visited the resort in the past but the main part of his holiday is in a resort on the other side of the island. As he only has a couple days in the resort, it is not really an option to drive outside the resort for a good meal and possibly a few drinks. The location where he is staying has 2 first class taverna's on his doorstep, Stevens and Sebastian's. If you had only a couple odd days in the resort, what would you recommend? A crazy bar like Robins Nest for a late night drink, Madison Gardens for evening cocktails, a small family location producing fresh homemade cooking? You give him some food for thought.

A meal at one of the restaurants on the beach to take in the amazing sunset. Take your pick! In the evening I think Sea Breeze is lovely. Very good Greek food with more of a modern contemporary restaurant feel.
