We are coming out first week in June, so fingers crossed. Bringing 'first timers' with us who love the idea of the taxi boat to take us round to Agni for dinner, so it will be disappointing if he is not running. |

Hi
We have been with Dino previously and very convenient it is. However, one time when we wanted to go at a different time (for lunch), we asked in the travel shop up the stairs next to the little supermarket and they got a taxi boat out for us within a few minutes and it took us to Agni and then came back and collected us later. Taverna Agni also has a speedboat taxi which collects from and returns to Agios Stephanos twice an evening (by reservation) - times are on their Corfu NE map on this site. David

Sorry, Sue, I can't recall now - it was a couple of years ago - you'd have to ask at the shop, unless anyone else has done the same and can recall the cost (or is in Ag Steph and can check). I don't think it was anything too horrendous. It is a great way to get there and, even after many trips, the drive down the hill to Agni and back up again is not for the faint-hearted.

I had a chat with Dinos a couple of weeks ago and he was hoping to get his boat in the water towards the end of May/early June, once the season gets properly under way.

Just chatting with Dinos and he says he will do the Taxi Boat when the weather improves. He's working in the bar and doesn't want to spend all the time on the water. He is prepared to do drop off's and pick ups once the weather and crowds improve. Maybe next week depending upon the weather.

The Agni boat is running - took a nice trip to Agni for dinner the other evening. 5euros per person and very nice it was too.

Thanks for the update.
Weather forecast is looking a bit better from next week. Sounds like he is planning to do most himself - normally it is Andreas. We eat at one of the other Agni tavernas so unlikely to use Agni boat but pleased to hear it is in operation now. You are clearly still there - so hope you are having a good holiday. One week tomorrow for us - can't come soon enough. |
