We arrive on Monday 11th June in Kassiopi staying at Villa Bacchus. Once unloaded we are planning to come into town for a well earned drink and then go shopping. Any views on which supermarket to go to for best choice and prices?  David

We tend to use Nikos but use Sconto and bakery in Kass. We are staying right behind you David up in Priodi, been here since 1st June leaving on 15th we will be neighbours, may bump into you on our travels, weather great now after storm yesterday morning and looking good beyond our departure date .. have a great time, have you used Bacchus before?

Sconto is the cheapest for most things we find and we also use the supermarket above the old Mexican for things Sconto dont stock (Harrods we call it)Wink

We get tobacco products from the Kiros supermarket next to Petrinos in the harbour who also have a working cash machine outside now.

"the supermarket above the old Mexican "
I don't know that one - tell all!  I know Sconto in the square, and the one at the harbour behind 3 Brothers restaurant/ beside church.
Where is there another supermarket in the village?

I must confess, I don't know the other half of the village well at all, I must get exploring when we go on 29 June.

The other supermarket is Central - next to the Tex-Mex (now Juniper). Not as extensive as Sconto but has decent fruit.

Plus don't forget Nicloas bakery, full of good things.

Never used Bacchus before. Does it look OK? Is it easy to find? We've only been to Corfu twice before and stayed in Hotels both times. The last time was at Nissaki Beach Hotel.
If you see our car outside the villa from Monday afternoon, please pop in and say hello.
Regards

Hi David Bacchus is always occupied when we have stayed here before - I did look it up one time and it looks very nice on the web site. Have you been given driving directions to the villa? The directions are pretty easy once you get out of Corfu town and are on the coastal road, you will see signs for Ipsos, Barbati, Nissaki, then just continue along this long coastal road passing through sign to Vingla, Sinies and eventually you see a sign on righthand side saying to Tsouka and sign for Bacchus. Opposite side of road on left is an orange boat as a marker .. turn right and a lane which forks right has Bacchus villa sign villa few yards along Vilka is on left .. it is sort of adjoining a Greek family house. We are right up behind you and would love to say hi when youre in .. any further info just message me. frilly

There are two separate Kiros shops at the harbour now - the two brothers divided the old shop into two.
