We're going to Stoupa next July and apparently the normal service is ony 4 buses per day North or South starting REALLY early in the morning but scrolling through some old, on-line reports there used to be a special Beach Service during the Summer months. Does anybody know if it was on this year?

Hi Dave,

If you go to

http://www.zorbas.de/webcam/camboard/

Someone will answer you, I did read that it had been stopped. We used it the last time we were there in September 2011 to go to Kardamili.

We are going in June for 2 weeks.

We were in Stoupa this summer, and it was told to us by the reps that the bus service was intermittent and only a few a day as you have read.
We hired a car, and explored all round. The roads are very bendy, but not bad condition, so if you get a car i would say go for a slightly more powerful one. It will just make it a bit easier. Just as a guide, Stoupa is about an hours drive from Kalamata.
Also a tour to mistras would be recommend, just for the ride, but don't drive it or you will miss too much.
And there are so many places to eat you won't need to eat at the same one twice, and all very reasonable.
