Very lucky. My visit in March will be very quick - just a few days to check all is OK and pay some bills. I am determined to spend the whole of July in Kalami this year though.

Sue, I assume you do know that you can pay your electric bill, telephone and internet bill online as long as you have a Greek bank account. Haven't quite sussed out how to pay the water bill online though. x

..... Shush don't tell Jeff
Seriously - I do pay all these online but have a couple of queries and also need to sort the water bill. If anyone knows how to pay this online I would be grateful.

Had a walk round the A & A yesterday in the rain. From the outside little has changed. They have gutted many of the rooms and refurbished them. They are also doing some work in the reception area as this will be used  for breakfast. Nothing else seems to have changed.
Thomas has built a large concrete shell behind the taverna which I assume will be his new storage room and toilets.

Although not staying there this year looking forward to seeing the gang when I stay at Kalami in October to see how things have gone, might have to sample it in 2016 for my big five-zero..

No sign of any changes outside, I can only assume they mean the old bar unless they are opening a new bar in the reception area.

No it is intended to be on the beach where the existing car park is.

Where will all the extra cars park?
(Cars are part of the new all-in package I believe.)

No idea but the bar is definitely part of the advertised facilities. Check out their website. Maybe they will only use part of the car park?

I just cannot see how they can have a car park and a bar there as there is so little space. Many years ago when staying at the A & A we still had difficulty finding a parking space.

Well I hope they get it sorted soon, we're out in September for 2 weeks and hope everything's up and running by then? We did say a couple of years ago that we may not come back to Kalami because of all the changes but we couldn't stay away and so have decided to give the San Antonio the benefit of the doubt. Hope we're not going to be disappointed!

We will be in Kalami for our annual fix in July but for the first time in 15 years we won't be staying at the A&A (can't bring myself to call it San Antonio); can't bear the thought of parading a coloured plastic band to show full board, half board or bed and breakfast. I am sure that even though they have a loyal client base the new dining options will have an adverse affect on Kalami Beach Taverna, Thomas's and the White House.

No matter how the changes affect Kalami we will no doubt enjoy ourselves but it may well be that 2016 will be goodbye Kalami, hello Roda or Kassiopi.

The owners of the A&A were there yesterday with Stavros and the new bar was being discussed. It looks like it will be a tempory wooden structure maybe on wheels. The big problem is there will be no toilet so they may rent mobile toilets. Anyway, nothing is decided yet so watch this space.

Don't know how true this is but told yesterday that Stavros will be running the bars and Gina will be the general manager.

Hi Graham,
Thanks for the update, we are looking forward to see the changes during our visit in May.
On another note, we booked with Thomson some months ago as their package included a hire car. Surprisingly I received an email from Thomson this morning saying the inclusion of a hire car had been a mistake on their part and a car will no longer be provided.
As a gesture of goodwill, they will provide free coach transfer from the airport...
It would be useful to hear if anyone else has had a similar note from Thomson.

I have noticed that there is now no mention of "car hire" on the Thomson website and that the price now includes coach transfer.
