There are many good restaurants in Acharavi, our favourite is Apnoea on the beach, and you always get good food in Filiraki next to the bakery on the main road, its always a good sign when you see the Greek people eating in these places. Yammas!

The Pumphouse on the main street is always good, we also love Woody's on the beach and Faros next door.  But that is only our choice there are many good places to eat in Acharavi don't think we have ever had a bad meal Smile
Jill & Rob looking forward to next holiday to Corfu

Skondros is my favourite on the beach. The meze for 2 at Faros is fantastic.
Have to agree that I have never had a bad meal in the Pumphouse.
Uruga in Acharavi old village serves lovely meat and fish platters and is extremely reasonable.

Barrie, Filiraki is the blue place, its run by Yannis and his English wife. Give it a try you will enjoy, Yammas!

If you hire a car you could go to Sunset taverna above Acharavi where the food and views are lovely. Also, worth mentioning is a visit to New Perithia for 2 great tavernas there. The turn off for New Perithia is where Ice Cream Dreams is and you must give it a try.
Enjoy.

So many great ones. Favs include:

Pumphouse - high class food but not the most memorable location
Maistro - on the beach watching the sun go down. Calamari is yum.
Woody's - is great for lunches and very reasonable. His Greek salad is the best I've had. They are lovely, friendly people.

My favourite is the Lighthouse on the sea front  Has a Greek name too but I will not confuse you, look for the taverna with the big tall lighthouse cutout!!! Lovely family and mum is a brilliant cook.

Woody's on the beach for superb food and great hosts. You should also try Acharavi Park which is on the main road just past the supermarket.  Again great food and lovely people. Wherever you decide to go you will always receive a very friendly Greek welcome. We are going on the 22nd June for 2 weeks and cannot wait. It is like home to us. Wherever you decide to go have a great holiday.Tongue
Enjoy your holidays. You deserve them!

Maistros is on the beach Barrie.
Must say that I haven't had many bad experiences in any of the tavernas in Acharavi. I like some more than others but that's just natural.
My favourites are:
Skondroa
Faros
Uruga
Special mention to the Orpheus where Joanne's cooking is fanatastic but I wouldn't really call it a taverna.
Roll on 3rd August!

Skondros is a longtime favourite of our family, but as others have said I don't think you can go far wrong wherever you eat in Acharavi. Enjoy!
