Hello to all,

It's a long shot but I wonder if anyone can help my wife trace the name of a restaurant she visited last year in Corfu town.

Not many clues I'm afraid:-

1] Italian
2] Ascending hill up a side street
3] Slightly cave-like interior painted white and previous patrons had written their names on the walls

Thats all I'm afraid but any suggestions will be much appreciated and followed up.

Regards to all

I think I know this restaurant. If you head down Guildford from the square it is on the left hand side. Steps down from the road which gives the cave like feel. They also opened a new contemporary restaurant almost opposite on the corner which was very good but not sure if it is still there. I believe they may have both been called La Couzina or something very similar.

Many thanks Sue-my wife visited with my son and family when we were in Kalami last year and had a wonderful time-she wrote down details but sadly has mislaid. We will be in Kalami later this year with daughter and family and she wishes to repeat experience for their benefit.
Are you in Kalami at present?

Regards

I will be in Kalami on 27th for a few days and really looking forward to it.
I hope it is the correct restaurant - definitely Italian and was very good when we last visited. Another way to find it is to walk down the small turning beside the Cavalieri hotel and the first road with shops you come into is Guilford. Think you turn right to get to Couzina and the entrance will be on your right.

Update - it is called La Cucina and is at 15 Guildford. (make sure you go downstairs)
The contemporary branch is still there also so if you see that first you can ask.

Many thanks to all for past help on this subject. I think I have established that the mystery restaurant is La Famiglia.

Thanks again

La Famiglia is good, but try Anthis opposite, or my favourite, whose name translates as 'Everything in its season' in the tiny square at the top of the same 'candouni'
