Any info on the location of 'Ipsos Holidays' from Booking. com website as it says 500m from Ipsos beach but I am not sure whereabouts they are located and as I will be travelling alone don't want to be wandering up and down country lanes in the dark or up steep hills either as I am getting a bit long in the tooth for that Embarrassed
Any replies would be appreciated.
Many thanks
Cath

Whenever booking with any internet site, including booking. com it is very sensible to get verification of position, as have seen some incredible inaccuracies- literally kilometres out!

Good luck, sure someone will be able to help you.

Booking. com usually includes a map with a scale on the accommodation page. Maybe this will help. I don't know Ipsos that well but it does tend to get hilly as you travel inland from the beach. Good luck.

As you enter Ipsos from Corfu town follow the main seafront road to the other end of resort till you get to Als restaurant taverna on the beach side of the road at this point cross the road. On the corner you will see a sign for the surgery and the Supermarket Pyrgi,  follow the road down past the Supermarket for about 400 metres and on the right you will find the apartments. Have a great time.

Thanks for your replies, you are not wrong about inaccuracies as I do know some of the  Ipsos area and the map is way off with some properties!  Booking. com states this property as being Agios Markos which I though was up the hill and to the left?!?

I know where Als is and the Pyrgi supermarket but cannot place this building at all, is it as far down as Anna-Liza Aparthotel and Bonita restaurant? I know as you walk down the 'Pyrgi' road (as I think of it) you pass the Villa Caterina, Gorgona and where the old Amadeus bar/Hairy Lemon used to be. Just trying to get my bearings before I book anything as it will be the first time on my own and a bit daunting!
Cheers for your help.
Cath

Go to bookings web site find 'Ipsos Holidays' then click on, show map, then click on the pointer for the apartment and zoom in you can chose satellite view, to see where it is.

Thanks Davyboy, tried that and they look to be opposite the football pitch in the village, although when I looked at another place highlighted on the map it was nowhere near where it actually is Confused

Tried googlemaps street view but that only goes along the main road past Als not off into the village.

Think I may play safe and pick somewhere I know if they are open that early in the season!

Cheers
Cath

Booking. com and other maps are only accurate if info has been submitted properly...Google too is often incredibly wrongly marked.

Hi Cath. Have you checked out Konstantinos Apartments on Lowcost, much nearer the front.

Thanks for all your replies, I have bit the bullet and gone for the Yannis as they are open the dates I can make - will have to get in training to tackle that hill though LOL
Just hope Hideaway bar is open then I can cut through there and take some light refreshment on the way back up Evil Smile
Janmanessi you are not wrong!  One map I looked at had the Dassia Chandris in the middle of Ipsos seafront - wouldn't like to walk that one with a stone in my shoe!
Cheers again - Cath
