Razaker, we been there many times!  Have a look at the hotel web-site which is pretty factual as opposed to 'glossy and fanciful'.
First of all the bad things (as per some TA reviews, that is) : Theo's is a 2 star hotel so don't expect the frills you will get in a 4 or 5 star which some people who write reviews seem to expect.
The shower rooms are small but unless you wish to spend half the day there they are perfectly adequate for most guests. The showers are handshowers and it is easy to wet the floor tiles giving a 'wet-room' character, if that worries you.
The hotel is about 1km from the beach, a slight downhill walk going, but of course slight uphill returning, especially noticeable on a hot day when the hotel steps take will-power.

Having said all that, Theo's is a 31 bedroomed hotel which is more like a large friendly house than an impersonal hotel establishment. It is situated on the side of a valley with green views in front. The owners Theo and Elena are very friendly and mix well with guests, one of them always being available at reception or the bar. It is this atmosphere which draws so many guests back, up to 60% some weeks being returnees. The rooms mostly face the open countryside at the front. I believe 3 face the back but these are last to be allocated.
The rooms and common parts are kept very clean by the cleaning staff (local ladies who have been there many years)
Breakfast is buffet style 'continental' standard as per Thomsons instructions, but Theo provides a larger choice at his own expense (I counted about 20 items in June). You can have a range of cooked breakfasts for a few euros if required.
The lovely pool on a bank behind the hotel is totally secluded from the road.
Evening food is cooked on site, not packaged and bought in from warehouses, and there is a good choice with many guests commenting on the ample meat and fresh vegetables. Every day there is a 'special' which has to be pre-ordered in the morning as many dishes have long cooking times, and being a small hotel the owners cannot afford to prepare far more places than are needed. The waiting staff are friendly and courteous and mix well with guests. Most late evenings the lounge bar is quite full compared to some hotels. On many evenings locals from the village pop in for a drink. The atmosphere is chatty and relaxed.

You obviously know the resort is quiet compared to Sidari and the attractions are different but if you are good mixers, or just appreciate informal friendliness, then Theo's will suit you fine.

Not much I can add to Dennis's post...except to give you an example of the thoughtfulness and kindness of the owners.
Two years ago Keith, I and our grandson stayed at Theo's for a long weekend. We arrived at 11pm and were most surprised and delighted to find sandwiches, fruit, cake, fruit juice and water in the fridge! We were ravenous and quickly set up the balcony table with our surprise late supper!

I have seen a good deal on a brand new hotel Saint George Palace, Pagi. All the pictures seem to be artists impressions and I am slightly nervous that if I book the hotel may not be finished. Can anyone tell me if the hotel is completely finished?

I have looked on the net and as she says, there are only drawings to view. Perhaps it is so new that it's only just opened, but perhaps somebody has already been there!

We've just booked a sneaky extra week in Corfu in September. Going for the first time to Agios Georgios north. Staying at Theo. Excited.

We had a trip from Kalami to have a look at Theo's. Lovely welcome from staff, but I must point out that the incline from the beach is not "slight" it's quite steep so I will need to get fit before September!

Are there hair driers in the rooms or should I pack one?

We are enjoying the beautiful north west while staying at Theo's hotel. Clean, basic and friendly. Just what we need. (And no hair driers in the room but can be borrowed from reception.)
