Can anyone tell me were I can buy pitta bread the type we get in England were we can heat up and cut in the middle to form a pitta pocket.
Please help if you can. I was told Sconto in Dassia sold them. But not any longer. Regards Paul |

Morrisons are doing a round pitta now, by Warburtons not tried it yet but looks OK and probably be fine heated, brushed with a little olive oil and dusted with oregano. Will certainly give them a go.

Hi Rocdoc,
I think Paul means in Corfu. We have bought 10 packs of round pitta bread in Diellas in Sidari.

I may be wrong but I have been told that the pocket type pitta bread is more Cypriot or Turkish in origine I've never seen them in Corfu, just the round ones Elliemay mentioned, that you fold over like a small wrap.
Bob.

Hi,
The ones I got from Diellas in Sidari are thicker and round, so if you slice them in half you can make a pitta pocket from each half, once heated. They are in the freezer cabinet.
