Has anyone done the walk to Pentati from AG? I've seen the guide of Sebastians website and AG Bliss but wanted to know if anyone has done it and how long does it take? It will be a lone walk as my wife has told me her week isn't deviating from the pool area Smile. 

Is there much there in terms of places to stop for a drink/snack and any tips from you knowledgeable lot who have done it.

PS If you can recommend any more walking guides please let me know.

Lovely little bar taverna at Pentati called Chris's Place- there moussaka is home made and delicious, as are the other offerings!  There is another taverna but have not tried it, may be excellent too!  The view is amazing.

We have done the walk to Pentati from A.G. many times.  As Jan says Chris's place is a nice place to stop and has a lovely view.
You can walk down to the sea to the jetty if you are fit enough but it is a long walk back to Agios and if it is a hot day quite a trek.  We took the route up from behind the hotel bungalows and not the road from the bottom.

We've done the walk many times and the views are wonderful. When you turn at the junction to go on up to Pentati there is a pathway back down to A.G. about 200yds on the right going up. It's very pretty and brings you out just above Dinas Paradise. Take your time if it's very hot and you should be there in about 1 hour or so. It's also worth going straight up the road to Kato Gorouna and wonder around the alley ways. There a Kafenion opposite the bakery and one at the top of the road that says dead end. If you look on Sebastians Taverna website I think he gives you three walks. Happy walking Dean.

Hello, thanks for the replies and good advice. I've seen some of the photos from above AG bay and that is my real motivation for going to Pentati, to get some good shots. Kaytee, I'll be staying at Dinas Paradise so at least I'll have a clue as to where to go from your post. I'm sure the locals will give me some help also.

If you go up the path from Dinas Paradise and back you will cut quite a bit off the walk and it will be a bit cooler under the trees.  Enjoy.

Ah thanks for the info, I just wish it was this year now and not next. I suppose it gives me more than enough time to save my cash and get fit!

When in Agios Gordios I always visit Pentati, it is an unspoilt village. Rather than stopping for a drink at Chris's Place, I tend to use Angelas in the village. It is a typical village cafe/bar and has a great view from it's roof garden. You are able to get snacks there although there is no menu. Thumbs Up  Clap
