Well, look's like it has died!

If people can't be bothered to post at this time of year what hope is there.

Some who have been to Paxos this year have not given any sort of response.

Never mind. WE WILL BE BACK ON PAXOS AGAIN NEXT YEAR as usual.

To be perfectly honest Malcy, I've pretty much come to the same conclusion. There only seems to be a very small handful of diehards still looking in here and most - if not all - of us are now regular posters on the Trip Advisor Paxos forum, which seems to be where all the newbies now go to find out about Paxos. So I'm not sure it's worth the bother of trying to save this forum. It was good while it lasted and I've made a few good friends here, but those days feel like they're long gone now.

If anybody's still looking in and at all interested, I've made a small album of a few of my favourite photos from this year's holiday here
I wasn't lost - I was just taking an interesting detour!

Lovely 'photos Elaine.
Love the sunrise. I used to watch out of the bedroom window at Villa Martha as it rose up over the Mainland.
Never mind Elaine. At least you, l and Shakes will still be able to contact each other hopefully ?
I can't understand how the Forum has died !
Have l posted too much rubbish?
Is it my fault?

We will be back next year for our 12th visit. Already booked.

I'll wear a carnation and carry a copy Playboy next year Big smile

Basically I think Agni Travel have completely lost interest in promoting the forum - that's if they even still have any connection to it! Apart from the web address, there's no mention of their name here and no mention or links to the forums on their main website.

Are you on Facebook Malcy? There are a few of us who started off here who keep in touch via Facebook's Paxos Grapevine page.

We'll be in Loggos a week earlier next year, so hopefully that should give us more time to spot each other!

Elaine, why have you not put your photos on Facebook so I could 'like' them!!!

Malcy I agree. it has been a waste of time on here this year. Sad really, because trip advisor doesn't have the same friendly vibe as we have always enjoyed on this forum.

If you're not on FB Malcy, get on there!!  As Elaine says the Paxos grapevine is an excellent source of info and  a place to share photos etc as well as sharing the love we all have with the island. There will be lots of locals you would know and could be friends with!

Doing a pottery course this week. We think it's hilarious that our efforts are being shown in an exhibition in the gallery & potentially be sold!! It's been fun though & met some interesting people!

Did l tell you we have booked our little Villa again for next year?
Super garden and pool area.

And whatever, we will be back! We Will.

What about bringing Roxi 5 back when the storm hit coming across from the Mainland!!

We did it with no great problem but were hailed as heros at the Roxi Bar.

Booked the little villa again for next year.
Super place. Sorry can't tell you where Wink

Will Roxi 6 have it's papers and be allowed out?

I don't think l could live all year on Paxos and Loggos.
But if l had no other attachments.

Sorry, l could not live without Val.

We have booked our Little Villa Monday 4th June to 18th for 14 nights. To be confirmed.
We are considering going on the Tuesday 5th flight and losing a day of holiday but a day less car hire
and villa hire plus possibly cheaper flights over on the Tuesday.

Any thoughts anyone??

I enjoy reading your posts. I would hate to miss even one day of my hols, but worth it if saving money. I've never been to Paxos...worried about connecting with ferries. Is it possible to go for a day trip rom Corfu Town? I too am sad about the way the whole Agni forum has declined.
and Charlie, Nia and Daniel's Gran too

Lily's Gran  Smile   Thank you for coming over from the Corfu forum.
Yes you can come over and you might just find a need to come back.
We have for the last 11 years.
The day boat trips into Gaios do nothing to give you a reflection of life on Paxos.
Try Paxos for a few days - I 'm sure you will love it.

Lets hope we can carry on with postings!!

Have we made a convert?

LG, so long as you do a little bit of research into flight and ferry timings so that you get them matched up, going to Paxos isn't as daunting as it sounds! The ferry times change little from one year to the next and if you need any advice, there's usually somebody either on here or on the Trip Advisor forum that will be only too willing to help you with ferries and/or finding accommodation.

If you end up deciding to just do a day trip and you're in Corfu roughly mid-June to mid-September, it's usually possible to find an early morning crossing from Corfu and a late afternoon/early evening one back on at least one day of the week that will give you a good few hours to explore Paxos and far more freedom than the organised trips. Again, just ask closer to the time for any help you need organising it - but I hope you'll consider a longer visit
I wasn't lost - I was just taking an interesting detour!
