Hi all,

Returning to Corfu for the first time in 5 years.  Staying at the same villa Karydia in Loustri/Gimari/Yialiskari (why are there 3 variants to every Corfu placename?).

Has anyone walked from Yaliskari beach to Agni recently?  I remember from the last visit that the path was a little close to the cliff edge at places.  This time we'll be bringing a 3 year old and an 18-month old.  Is the path passable with kids?  Is there an alternative route without climbing back up to the main road?

Cheers,

Ian A.

Hi Ian
I think you'll find it pretty much as it was - mostly fine but the odd place a bit bumpy and narrow in places. I'd just make sure you hold their hands and that they don't run away from you as you go along.

The path is much the same, as Corfudreamer says a few rough bits, tree roots etc, not really suitable for a buggy though.  I think there is another path which takes a higher more inland route but never been this way so not sure if correct.

I think that the other way to do it would be to walk up to the road that leads from Kalami to Loustri, and then take the path down from Loustri (just by the bakery/minimarket) , which, although steep, is part maintained footpath, part road.

Hi the walk from Loustri to Agni is far more dangerous the main road way.... I understand your concerns walking the beach path but.... Day time fine night time suicideeeeeee.
We kinda like our children and they were ok!
