Hi all,
I'm sure this question must have been asked before but the search turned up nothing. Apologies if it is a common question. We are arriving on 21st May and staying near Agni in a villa with an outdoor unheated pool. Can anyone advise if it is likely to be useable or will it still be too cold? We need to know whether to pack rash vests and thin wetsuits for the kids or if it will be fine or if it will be so cold that we may as well not bother with the pool. Thanks, Ian.

It will be cold when you jump in but only for the first couple of minutes.
If you have suits it will certainly make the kids more comfortable.

Probably best to go into the pool later on in the day to give it a chance to heat up a bit. But please be very wary of the heat for your kids try and keep them out of it between 2 and 4 the heat even at that time of the year could cause then to burn very quickly

Hi Eco0set,
I never go in the pool only the sea, for me it is far warmer anyway. I have also seen all the programmes on TV which say about water quality. Having said that, you are going to a Villa that is slightly different. Regards, Pegasus. |

I know sea and pool temperatures are different but for the last week my friend's one year old grandsons have been happily splashing about in the sea-water that we older ones think is still a wee bit chilly for us!

I think given that the sea temperature in Agni is apparently 21 degrees at present and the maximum sea temperature in August in the UK is 17 degrees, we should be ok! :)

Hi,
Where we go in Roda we walk up to the All Inclusive places in the sea, eventually we get to a Pier thing in the water. If you go there, you can feed the fish out of your hand. Sure, they are not big fish but you get lots of them all coming to eat a piece of bread. You can feel them around your legs. Just thought I would put that in! The sea in Roda is warmer than in a tropical country's river that we went whitewater rafting on, I get cramp if it is too cold and have never had cramp neither in May nor September in Roda. Regards, Pegasus |
