Back to Villa Martha with the Infinity pool looking down to Loggos Harbour so we can keep an eye on the Roxi Bar and our boat!! Never thought I would ever go to the same holiday location for the 8th time in 10 years! But that is Loggos and Paxos. Devon on 3rd September for a week with the van for by 65th!! |

42 Days to go for me!!! Sooooo excited!! Especially as yesterday I went shopping and came back with the BIGGEST hat I have ever owned! I best keep it just for the pool though because if I try wearing it walking in the olive groves I'll be knocking myself out on unseen olive branches!!  |

337 days for me
 Re-booked Spiros for next year with Christine and Chris as they were seeing us off at Gaios last week!Looking forward to my first visit to Italy in September, staying on Lake Garda. It'll be the first time I've swum in a lake since a very drunken camping trip to the Lake District about 30 years ago - hope the water's a bit warmer in Italy than it was in Langdale

14th June Jeff. I may have miscounted. Loved your vidio. You went to a cave we have never seen near the big rock. I've allways gone round the rock.
Elaine -I stayed at the youth centre cabins in the Langdale Valley many, many, too many years ago. Swam in one of the tarns. Came out pink and turned blue. I'm looking forward to seeing that hat Helen. We were seated behind a couple at a Taverna in Gaios this year and I thought it might have been you and hubby but knew you should not be there. Then realised - no hat!! |

Looking forward to seeing the hats Helen. I too bought one, had to as trying to tell a 4 year old they must wear one all the time, but you don't didn't seem quite right  In 50 days I'll be chilled after a good dose of Paxositis

Pale or brown from a can?? I'm now trying to perfect my self tan application! But my patchy feet give me away! Tina if everyone else is wearing big black hats... just look at the feet!! I think I might just have to stay pale as I can't see the point if it looks obviously false and I don't want to send everything I wear white a dirty yellow!! Oh to go brown naturally! Malcy I wished it had been me the waiting is driving me mad now!!!
Question regarding dentists now. Someone on another forum wants to know about recommended dentists and as yet no one has replied. I am also interested to know about this as I have an on going problem and if it should flare up whilst I'm away the tooth will have to come out. I hate having teeth out by a dentist I know let alone one I don't! Any reassurance would be really grateful!

Helen, have you tried the gradual tanners rather than the instant ones? Johnsons Holiday Skin and Dove Summer Glow are both good and I use No 7 Gradual Facial Tan all through the winter! You need to use them every day for a couple of weeks to build up a decent colour, but you don't get streaks or clogginess and you can ease off when you get to the desired colour.
The only drawback with them, which I may have mentioned on here before, is if you swim in a chlorinated pool - as I quickly discovered a few years ago when I went away with a lovely natural-looking tan, which then started to rub off in patches as soon as I stepped out of the pool. I looked like I had some strange skin condition for almost a week until it all rubbed off and I started to get a proper tan

Not sure I'll bother with the fake tanning at all this year, won't do the Guttate Psariosis much good, and the patches would look very strange

Lol! Elaine I do remember you saying about the swimming pool!! I think I might just forget it and stay pale!! I have tried the Johnsons and thought it was good but thought I'd be lazy and try some Lancome and get a deeper colour in one go. It actually looks quite good now I have tided up the feet with a touch of Lancome eye makeup remover!!Tina thank you for the info about the dentist I knew you would come up trumps!! I'm hoping and praying I don't need her! Have you started packing yet? I have!!!

Apparently there are 2 dentists, the lady in Gaios and a man based at the clinic. He is split between there and Corfu though. Both speak excellent English.
