Has anyone else been to this new restaurant formely Tex Mex?  We went there for an evening meal, which was excellent and then had to try their breakfast, which was one of the best we have had in Kassiopi.  The new owners could not have been more friendly (Darren and Dawn), we can't wait to go back, their attention to detail was superb and it was refreshing to see such passion in what they do, Dawn even went out of her way to get the wine that I like.  Well worth a visit.

The prices were very reasonable. The only one I can remember was 7 euros for a roast dinner on a Sunday lol which is on our list to do in September

Roast dinner? Are you talking about British style food? Don't they do any Greek dishes?

You are in Greece after all!

They did have problems at first getting things right but they did talk to folks and took advice on board and it seems to be working.

We just got back yesterday. Gave this place a wide berth - it looked about as Greek as a London bus, absolutley NOT what we go to Greece for. It was quiet every time we passed.

There are some Greek restaurants that do British food too, i.e. British breakfast. We do go to Greece to sample all their dishes but after 3 weeks we were dreaming of a roast dinner!!!

Didn't this restaurant replace the Mexican? - very Greek.
These guys deserve a break, and I know we will give them a try, as well as the Italian restaurants.
Yes we do love Greek food, but it's good to have a choice, and I admire them for taking on a business in such uncertain times. Much better than an empty building.
See you in September Junipers xx

There's nothing wrong with eating English food in Greece...when Greek friends visit me here in the UK they want to be taken out to a Greek restaurant...same difference Big smile

We were invited to dinner at some Greek friends house in Kassiopi, and guess what was on the menu...Roast Beef, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and carrots...and some of the loveliest gravy I have ever tasted.Clap

What we must remember is some people go on holiday just for the sun and sea and a few drinks and don't eat anything other than UK food all the time they are there which is fair enough...they pay for it after all  and it's sold to them by Greeks, who wouldn't sell English food if people didn't want it.

My main thing is why do some people always worry them selves sick what others are buying with their money.

My wife is Spanish and I dislike Spanish food, but do I eat it just to please her. No I don't...so she doesn't cook it for me.Smile

Hi, this is Dawn from Junipers.  We came to Corfu last October and fell in love with the Island, especially Kassiopi.  We adore Greece and Greek food but, after a week or so, just wanted to see a menu with something a little different on it.  Chatting to other holiday makers we got the sense that it was similar for them too, which was our inspiration to set up Junipers restaurant and combine it with living in this beautiful part of the world.  We are passionate about offering our customers tasty homemade food using seasonal produce, fresh vegetables, handcut chips and potato croquettes and have received good feedback from customers about the quality, taste and presentation of our dishes.  We have also been trying out different things on the menu to see what kind of meals appeal to customers and have been asking for lots of feedback.  It's a learning process and we are keen to get it right as we are opening all year round and not just the summer season.

Hi Dawn,

We live here and you don't know how much we occasionally miss a restaurant cooked British meal! The occasional roast dinner that I don't have to cook myself or a good cooked breakfast is always a treat especially in the winter. Speaking of which, the more restaurants open in the winter the better. It's great to have a choice of both location and menus.

I think you are very brave and I wish you the best of luck in your venture.

(Are you on Facebook? If you are maybe you could post a sample menu?)

Hi Dawn

Sorry if my earlier post seemed flippant. It wasn't my intention.

It's good to see someone listening to customers and catering for their needs, especially ex-pats. I never thought about them. I suppose there's even some British food that I would miss if I lived abroad.

I wish you all the best and hope the restaurant is a success.
