Does anyone know where in the resort Marilena Apartments are?
I believe they're at the beginning of the resort, but wondered how long a walk it was down to say, the Akrotiri Beach hotel.
Is there a map of accommodation, showing location?

Hi,

The apartments are at the start of the resort next door to the campsite.

I have not stayed there but did have a look around. Nice pool and sitting out area.

Have a nice holiday

Kind Regards
Tom and Marion

Thanks for that-it is a bit of a way out, but we spend most of our time around the Paelocastritsa Hotel side of the resort.  If we venture down to the end, we normally take our car anyway. A wee bit too busy for us down there, especially when the tour buses are in.

There's some good places to eat up that way.  Didn't Oasis close?  But Spiros is excellent.  Once you see how crowded the beach gets at the harbour end when the tours arrive (or the Italians) you might not miss it so much.

If you don't mind steps, you're very close to the Acapulco pool bar (a path through a grove on the coastal side of the road).  That has terraces of sunbeds and steps down to the sea.  You may be able to attract the services of a water taxi or just swim over to Liapides beach from there, which is a nicer spot anyway.

These apartments are extremely well maintained and are a steady walk to the Paleocastritsa hotel probably about 15 minutes at the most.

I have not stayed here but I know the owner very well and stay at her other apartments in Paleo.

Oh my lord... these apartments are really brill. I have stayed there twice before, the apartments are very clean, and the pool is around the back and is peaceful. There is a cash point and a super market accross the road, you are right next door to the camp site as mentioned above.
Spiros has meat done on the spit and very good!! Mmmmm melts in your mouth they were giving you a free crepe after not sure if they are doing that this year, but I guess we'll find that out again soon I'm sure... as I always make my way there no matter where I stay on the Island. Very friendly part of Paleo!
IF YOU ARE HIRING A CAR? Then the drive to the end of the resort is interesting and there are lots of places to stop for food a swim or just a mooch!! The harbour is lovely and there are a few shops down there... The Apollon is great for a drink after soaking up the sun on the beach accross the road.
Coming back to The Marilena (after getting a bit carried away there), Eleine (works in the port) and is the owner, she doesn't live there but her mum and dad do, Maria and not sure what her husbands name is, but he is the local bread man, and maintains the pool etc, nice people and Lovely Apartments, enjoy your stay there!!!
I just love that Corfu feeling!

Marilena apartments are very good. Have their own pool but there is also a huge pool next door at the Mermaid.
Some good eating places nearby. Joefish is right about the Acapulco. Persist when you are on the path through the woods. It is a hidden gem! Fantastic views.
Also try out the new restaurant where the road splits for Lakones. The owners used to have the Oasis. I'm confident it will be good.
Enjoy!!
