Pam I am certain you are permitted to take ashes in hand luggage with easyjet. Check their FAQ or call them to ensure there is no paperwork required. Every good wish.

Hi, I travelled alone last year to Corfu & sat next to a lady on her own. During the flight, we got talking & she told me she had recently lost her husband. They had holidayed on Corfu for many years. All of a sudden, she said..`but he is with me on the flight` ..then told me she had his ashes in her hand luggage, above our heads. Bless her, she was determined to spread them in Corfu. I watched her go through Corfu airport, no problem. She hadn't told anyone else. I just hope that all went well for her & he got his wish. A lovely & very determined lady.
Keep calm and think of Corfu!

Thank you all for your kind and helpful replies. Apologies for not replying sooner, but have not been on line for some time.
Will certainly look at Easyjet but thinking it would be nearer for me to try Thomsons from Bournemouth at this time, so will see what they say. Thanks again and bless you all.

Pam...

P.S. I am also a very determined lady Olympus!

I know it's been a while since my last post, but just to let you all know, some of my husbands ashes are now laid to rest in our 'second home' in Corfu. A beautiful shrub was planted close by and I know he would be very pleased to be home at last.

It must be a great feeling to know that each and every time you visit Corfu that a little of dearly beloved will also be nearby.
