The last night of our recent holiday was spent in Corfu Town. The big problem with this hotel is finding somewhere to park nearby. It has two spaces but very often they are occupied by non-guests as was the case when we were there!

We were given a room facing the Old Fort which was lovely. The room was nice and the air-conditioning worked perfectly which was just as well as it was very warm last Wednesday/Thursday. The buffet breakfast had plenty of choices and proper coffee!

Corfu Town was resplendent in the heat. There is just something about the atmosphere of the place. Sitting in the Liston and having a frappe and then coming back late at night when the area is heaving and having a Metaxa made me long to get back to Corfu again as quickly as possible.

Great idea! We may do that on our next visit.  The evening tours from Sidari return a wee bit too early to enjoy properly, plus the journey to the airport is so much shorterThumbs Up

There are some great deals to be had.
The Hotel Atlantis in town is available for £17.89 for a double/twin in mid October-that's a bargain!

Loved Konstantinoupolis Hotel facing large square near the port and the New Fortress. Reminded Hotel Kolbeck in Vienna, but with Mediterranean flavour. A fancy 19-th century building, lovely old-styled hall and dining-room with pictures, mirrors and newspapers on the walls, antique lift with hand-opening doors (but modern electronic security system though). Cozy room with 2 balconies viewing busy square, bay waters and Vido island. Imagined ourselves old-time travelers.Big smile Dipping into the vintage Victorian atmosphere was a really great feeling worth experiencing!

What a beautiful description of your stay at Konstantinoupolis Hotel. I've stayed there a number of times and share your enthusiasm for it. I just fancied a change of view this time. Big smile
