We always go May and & September as it is not too hot and not too busy either. This year we are going June and will see if there is a difference.

There are plenty of places where you can just sit and chill and not be bothered by either large t.v.'s or kareoke.

I dread to think how hot it would be in July and August. Been there in May before now and it was schorching. So much so I had to sit in the shade, which is so unlike me as I do like the sunshine. But when it starts biting then it's either the shade or the pool. My husband knows when it gets too hot for me when I spend the best part of the day in the pool and end up looking all prune like. Ha Ha

I found June in Paxos a little bit hotter during the day but I really noticed it at night the most, we were in Paleo last September and it was scorchio during the day, didn't see one cloud or one drop of rain the whole week.
Being a ginge I do wilt a bit in the very hot weather so could never go July or August.

The joy of Kassiopi is that there are one or two noisier bars (quiz/karaoke) if that is what you want - we don't so we don't go in. It certainly doesn't feel like a 'strip'. There are wonderful tavernas, cocktail bars overlooking the harbour, stunning beaches, trips available if you want them, motor boats to hire, views to die for and the clearest water I have ever encountered in Europe . The people are incredibly friendly and welcoming and I never feel a hint of worry about my teenage girls doing their own thing. Wherever you end up, enjoy x

JacquieF, the water sounds like it is on Paxos.
I'd never swam in the sea til we went there a couple of years ago.
We've now booked Paleo for June but I'm still on the look out for a late September holiday, it's going to be a toss up between Kassiopi & Paxos.

Hi Nardine

I would suggest that the water in Lakka bay is a little warmer than you will find off the coast of Corfu.  This being due to the fact that Lakka is both virtually enclosed and also quite shallow.

That said, the east coast of Corfu is warmer than the west (for many of the same reasons).  Also, the water on the east coast tends to be clearer - and so better for snorkelling - as there is little sand.

Enjoy!
Martyn

Friends of ours  (only ever meet up in Corfu in September) used to love Paxos. One year they were unable to get flights or accommodation they wanted (forget which) and had 3 days to sort something. They are also extremely fussy and wanted somewhere that reminded them of Paxos. They researched thoroughly and eventually decided on Imerolia (short walk outside Kassiopi) ... they couldn't have been happier and have been back every September (for a month at a time) since.

As for us - I picked Imerolia from a Direct Greece brochure back in 1998 and couldn't believe my luck! Been back so many times since.

Our first Corfu visit was to Imerolia and we have been back at least twice a year since (to Kassiopi)

Hi guys
Just wanted to let you all know that we stopped off in Kass for a few hours last week on our little scooter, really liked it! Parked up at the end of the big beach. Walked into the village, got a big fat ice cream which we half ate half dribbled on the floor at the harbour then walked the headland back to our bike, had a nice cold beer at a small café bar just there on the beach (Had a funky seashell and drift wood covered divider to the loo's) then we headed off to Roda.
Thought it was a lovely place and it's at the top of our list for September hols.

No we were traveling around for the day, we were staying in Paleo, went to Roda to visit a friend that's working there for the summer.
