Hi All
We are visiting Dassia in July for the first time since our children were bourne 7 years ago. We used to go there, pre kids, and absolutley loved it. We used to stay at the Corfu Chandris. I have a couple of questions. :-

We loved Dassia, it had a bakery/coffe shop is this still there?

Does anyone have any reviews (fair and honest ones) of the Dassia Chandris, I ve looked on trip advisor but it just looks like the critics were expecting the Ritz and I know that it isnt like that!

Really looking forward to going to Corfu this year. Bring on Summer 2013

Hi

Stayed at the Chandris last May. Hotel seemed fine and all the facilities OK, but I do agree with the critics about the restaurant it did appear to be like a canteen, but it was the first time I have experienced buffet dining for all courses so a bit of a shock. One other negative was on the evening entertainment. A singing due appeared twice in one week and sang the same repertoire in the same order, but that is a minor thing.

I notice that on the Thomson website this hotel is not now listed as Platinum and in May for this year they were offering two weeks for the price we paid for one week last year.

I am sure there is a bakery/coffee shop as we used to have cakes every afternoon. The one we used was situated as you turned right out of the hotel and continued further up the road.

Hope this helps you.

Hi

Apologies got mixed up with the hotel. We stayed at the Corfu Chandris, not the Dassia so can't give a review on that one. The only experience we had of that was the Greek night which was good.

We have been to the Corfu Chandris before and didnt have an issue with the food. We will be taking 2 children with us (aged 6 and 7) so the buffet type eating arrangements will be good for them!
Looking forward to having a couple of weeks in the sunshine after having about 7 years of "British Summer" holidays in this country, which I have to say are an expensive excercise.
