Definitely on countdown now for our holiday...even though it is still a few weeks away.
If anyone has any updates on Nissaki and the surrounding areas/beaches/tavernas we would be glad to hear them. We booked later this year...not sure why as it seems to be taking an age to come round! So looking forward to being in Corfu again (10th time I think!) and meeting up with friends we have made out there. So much to look forward to! Just me and the husband this year in a villa...oooo started day dreaming again already! Got some euros the other day and they did say that they were not giving out 50 euro notes for Greece this year...that was TC. I know about taking smaller notes but not really heard that they were not being accepted as was going to take them to pay for car hire and first stock up at the shop where it would be costing above this amount. Anyone any the wiser? Happy holidays to all. |

Hi,
We came back from Corfu a week ago and had no problems using 50 or even 100e notes.

Same here, they took 50 notes. We stayed in Nissaki too in June, fantastic holiday in Villa Nefeli on the hill. Just glad we had air con in bedrooms

Hi
Thanks for the replies. I really did not think that there would be a problem with the 50euro notes but Thomas Cook were adamant when I went to get euros! Oh well will definitely get 50's when I go back for some more later this month. Still counting down! Also in villa on the hillside and usually go for a/c in the bedroom! Think it cost about 7/8 euros per day per unit last year...presuming it is around the same price for this year? xx |

Depends who you book with, I think, to if your a/c is included in the price of the holiday/villa.
Ours is not, paid last year to villa owner when we arrived and as booked with the same operator the same will apply this year.
