We arrive in Agios Stephanos next Sunday for a lovely 11 days. Have previously eaten there once (Cochelli) on our last trip. Which taverna would you head for straight away on your first night there to get you in that "it's finally here after all those months of dreaming" feeling?! I know it's probably a bit like a "what's your favourite Thorntons chocolate?" but would be interested in people's opinion. (Only 7 more sleeps!!) Thank you.

Hi Sedgi,
I think that you've got the wrong Ag.Stef. Yorkshirepud I think is referring to Ag.Stef NE as that is where Cochelli is.

For me Cochelli's anyway for the first night. I like a good view of the sea, so sitting in the taverna balcony gives me just that. After that - one at a time!

I can't remember its name! The one farthest south, slightly up the hill. Its a completely subjective thing, but for me, being off the waterfront and away from the bars and restaurants next to one another, it felt far more relaxed. Usual boxes ticked.
Either that, or Fagopotion, just to snigger childishly at the name.

Oh, why not. Just a small one.
