Hi everyone this is a first for me joining a forum, first time for everything. Going self catering to Ispos in June, very worried about eating out prices and drink prices. Any information on this would be great, any tips for best bars and restaurants to eat in. Any other useful information. Cheers Tricia (first time traveler to Corfu)

Quite a few nice restaurants along Ipsos seafront. Moby Dick is small but very nice, Stathis is bigger and the food is excellent (just ate there last week €36 1 starter 2 mains, liquer coffees and wine) there is also Phevos (haven't ate there). We also had a couple of nice meals at Wet (paid €26 for 2 mains plus drinks and wine) (used to be Temple Bar) at the end of the road near the Butchers. There is also ALS on the seafront side (not eaten there but always seemed to be busy). There are quite a few bars along the seafront, we tend to go in Tiffanys as we know most regulars in there and the prices are very reasonable (€2 for a large draught local beer VAP and €2.50 for a bottle of Amstel) they also do a good breakfast if you like a fry-up. Some people like to sit in Calypso bar which is attached to Sunrise Aparthotel but there should be plenty open when you get there (bit slow to start up in May). Enjoy your holiday, where are you staying? Cath

Is that little bar tucked up the alley near the Town Hall still there?

Didn't get that far down with staying at AnnaLiza and Mic in the wheelchair but I think you mean the Hideaway which you can get to from the front or from halfway down the hill from the Yannis. Was open last year but can't say for definate this time. Cath

I think it's called the Hideaway. At the start of the alley on the main drag, there's a sign "so many steps to the ..." It was run by a Greek chap who lost a leg in an olive press accident.

![]() Thanks for the reply that is really useful. We are going very soon to Ispos and I'm really looking forward to going to Corfu. We are staying in the Lavrion studios which are located up a hill somewhere in Ispos. Are there any trips you would recommend or tour operators for boat trips etc. Cheers Tricia

If you walk along the front and speak to Sophie and Homer at their office you can book trips there, they also take bookings for Waterhoppers which is the diving school if that is your thing. Don't do much in the way of trips myself but did a trip up to the north of the island many years ago which was nice. There are also days out to the water parks and horse riding, really depends what you want - I go with intentions of doing allsorts and then get a bit avrio (which is like manana but slower

All sounds great. We shall probably go out on the bus a lot, and maybe the waterparks which we love. Thanks for the advice. Now the hard part packing!! Cheers Tricia |
