Thanks Elliemay. I suspected it would either be Wednesday or Thursday because their sale ends midnight tomorrow!

And we're off!!! If we'd been going the same day as last year they would have been cheaper, but we're going a week earlier and paid about a fiver more than last year, so very happy with that

Same time, same place next week for our return flights!

It was sometime between 4:00 and 5:45. It's normally shortly after 6:00. so we had set our alarm for 5:45 and the flights were already up then, but they weren't when I got up to go to the loo around 4:00.

Return flights now booked! Total paid for both ways including bags comes to £270, which is a lot cheaper than last year's total - only £108 for the return flight!

Just booked. £900 for all four of us. Not too bad considering we are flying height of the season - 10th to 25th August.

They've doubled the price of legroom and selected seats this year. Angry

Also damned annoying I can't book a flight out for the end of August coming back in September (after the schools have gone back). Need to wait for late season flights to go up, by which time accommodation and outgoing prices will have all shot up.

Joe, why can't you book your outgoing flights and accommodation now and then book your return flights when they come out? We go in June and come back July and have had to do that for the last few years with the way EJ split their schedule releases at the end of June.

Can do. It's always a bit risky that you might be stuck with an expensive flight back and no alternative...

Also I notice that Olympic have just slapped a bar on booking a lot of their places as 'accommodation only'. Places like the Monika in Sidari, where I've been going for a few years, can now only be booked as part of a package. They seem to use scheduled Easyjet flghts anyway, but I notice that transfers are no longer automatically part of any package.

And several of Easyjet's prices seem to have suddenly jumped up with the news that Monarch are no more.

I think, on balance, I'll be turtle-spotting in Zante this year, a bit earlier though in June, and look out for the September flights for Corfu.
