Hi, we will shortly be staying at the Stella apartments in Geni near Nidri, and wondered if anyone knows of any good restaurants in that general area, we will have a car so don't mind a reasonable drive to one that is worth it!

We will be looking for good quality local Greek food, rather than international fare, and would love somewhere with a great atmosphere.

I believe there is a good taverna in Geni itself, if you head towards Lefkas town you will come to Lygia, there a a few good tavernas there. O'zouras is very good right on the fishing quayside always filled with locals. At the other end there is Mikis taverna who is very friendly and serves the usual taverna fayre, at the other end along the shoreline is seven islands which again is excellent for fish. Aand for a post meal drink there is the art club run by Spiros, however would suggest you either find a room there or nominate a driver as the hospitality there is rather good!

Is not a destination that gets many contributions I'm afraid, have you tried tripadvisor?  Lots of recomendations for the Nidri area on there
