You will get a better rate in Kassiopi.
I bought some euros at the post office (in the UK) yesterday and got 1.165 to the pound.
Thats pre ordered on the internet though as you will get a worse rate just walking into a branch.
Off to Dublin for a few days on the Guinness shortlyBeer

Last September we bought our Euros in the UK. When we got to Corfu the exchange rate was worse.
Perhaps we were fortunate at the time.

I learnt my lesson a few years ago in Kass went to one place and got 1.37 to the £ walked down the road and saw it at 1.49 to the £ and that was after commission (remember those ratesThumbs Up) needless to say I have always gone to the latter ever since.

At the time of writing, FairFX (who are FSA authorised) are offering 1.213 with free delivery over GBP750 - worth checking the Martin Lewis website to find the best rates.  Could be a good time to buy Euro's as I suspect the rate will not carry on in this direction for much longer.

Rates just zipped up to 1.23.6 (interbank).
Be interesting to see what happens on Monday morning, after Sundays elections.

I don't think that the Interbank rate is the same as the tourist rate which is lower. However, the rate is still better than it was last year.
