Good news for those who walk the cliff top path from San Stefanos to Arillas

Just been on to the Arillas.com website and it looks like the track down to the village from San Stefanos has been re directed away from the cliff top edge on the downward path towards Arillas.

That part of the path has been badly eroded during winter storms over the last several years and was nearly impassable last summer.
Will be there in just over two weeks and looking forward to trying the route out for myself Smile

That's great news Steven. I like to walk over to Arillas/Afionis from San Stef early mornings while I wait for the rest of my group to wake up and the path had got a bit scary. Can't wait to see for myself next week.

Read this on sanstefanos.co.uk and they also mentioned to be careful of a few stumps that may be in the way.

I'm just back from San Stefanos and the cliff path is just fine for walking to Arillas. A small section only has been added as a 'diversion' around the eroded path. It had to be early morning walks only however as the weather was hot, hot, hot - perfect excuse to relax on the beach (and in the Mango beach bar) in the afternoons!

I agree the path looks fine! Well at least it does from the lush seats of The Akratiri on the top of the cliff walk. (reached by car) Great cappuccino by the way!!!

Had a good walk down from Gravia... Some other bits that are close to the sea have large cracks. Could possibly do with more new bits.
Still a great walk and view to die for. Witnessed a slight sea mist that left only the top Gravia Island in view. Same phenomenon on cliffs at the St George end of the village.

StevenM... Nice to finally meet you. 21/06 next..

Hiking and walking the cliff is more fun when it becomes tough to climb, at least I like the adventure in things.
