For all my fellow Bleasdale fans (yes Helen, I'm talking to you  Wink ) there's a new updated, re-plotted and redrawn edition of the Walking Map available at http://www.iankbleasdale.co.uk/index.htm

Yes, I know this will be the 4th version I've bought and we hardly do any exploring these days, but I just can't resist owning the latest version and studying it lovingly through the long winter nights  Smile  so my cheque will be in the post later today Big smile
I wasn't lost - I was just taking an interesting detour!

Wow. He is just amazing. No idea how he finds the time to do all this while he is on holiday!

Thanks Elaine, last time I looked there were only a few copies so I decided to wait. Shame it looks like being the last one, unless Ian can get some help with the mapping etc!

I too love slavering over it in the winter. Hope to get a bit more walking done again as Melissa gets bigger.

Had the link for years Helen!  I think I probably originally found it on the now sadly defunct Friends of the Ionian site.

Mine has just arrived today. Just what I need to cheer me up at the moment! Now for a good old drool over the pages, once I have managed to work out how to refold the map (lovely instructions were enclosed)Tongue

More pictures Helen, details of churches etc. You will need to get the updates re just a few errors from the website before you go. The map has all the up to date details of paths and villas etc.

I too planned to wait, but couldn't resist. My excuse is my Mum's friend can use it when they go in June. Wonder just how much walking I will actually do? It is handy for when we have a car though too.

If I am planning to go walking I will need to move some of this fat off me!!! At Robins Hood Bay the walk up the hill after a glass or 2 of wine nearly killed me! That was in the cold too!! So I've got no chance in the Greek heat!!  I can't believe how unfit I have become! Time to drag out my trampeline I think!!

The new map is fantastic, we borrowed a friends 2006 version ready for our trip in and decided at last minute to get our own and got the new version, so much more detail and names of villas, churches, everything that can help you when on new walks. We've now lent to another friend who is there this week. Well done Ian!
