Hi
Just wanted to warn people like me who were unaware of this, now that the Dolphin booking is going through a different company you now cant reserve a ticket online. OK got over this they said I had to e-mail them a bank transfer which I did. Now not only is this price of the Dolphin more but you also get a £25 bank charge, which makes it roughly the price of the sea taxi...which would have been more convienient!!! has made my trip to Paxos more expensive this time!!! Anyone know another way to do this without the bank charge? sally

Same here Les.
I arranged some tickets through the Bouas office in Gaios rather than the Corfu office and paid with a c/card. It's not the email on the website, it's paxos(at)bouastours.gr Much simpler, and you can pick the tickets up at the hydrofoil rather than having to collect them from the office. Only a couple of weeks until I'm there for my wedding, so it was a tickets for a couple of stragglers. Mine have been reserved for months! Nathaniel

I am doing the same this morning. Basically you have to email them first
bouas(at)otenet.gr and then they will confirm your reservation where you can then either transfer the fee e29.90 per
person each way which will incur a finance charge of £25 or ring with a credit card which is free

Hi I paid only e22.90 for my ticket, and the transfer fee of £25 (which I mucked up, should have done a credit card ring but was unaware of this). Why are we all paying a different amount, its bad enough that weve had a price hike since I was last there in June.

Johnmatlock, how did you get confirmation of your Dophin booking? I sent my bank transfer and have heard nothing regarding my booking confirmation dispite several e-mails to them, begining to panic as I go in two weeks...or should I just relax, I should remember to get on Greek chill time...

Hi Sally,
I also haven't had confirmation of the payment but from memory I think the same thing happened last year. All we did then was turn up at the office (across the busy road from the ferry terminal) and pick up the tickets. In the past (the last two years) people have even paid for tickets as they were boarding so it should be OK and you will at least have proof of purchase. How long are you going for and where are you staying? We may be there for some of the same time.

Hi Sally, John,
The Paxos office of Bouas do seem to be more communicative this year. I booked through that office and have had confirmation from the lovely Maria. Bouas also dropped me a note when the credit card was processed so I'd know to expect it. All arranged over email and no ridiculous bank transfer fee. The tickets will be with the boat rather than at the Corfu port office, so no need to chance it across that road. Other guests that are coming to our wedding are on a "guest list" of sorts on the boat that the wedding planners have arranged as well. Paxos does seem to be a bit more organised than it's bigger neighbour at the minute!
Two and a half weeks for us, and then there for just over a fortnight. Might see you there looking at timings. Nathaniel

Sally,
I have just had email confirmation from the Corfu office that they have my payment and have been asked to collect the tickets from there. I suggest a phone call might be the best way. (0030 26610 49800)

Thanks John.
We're staying at, in chronological order, Bella Venezia on Corfu for a night, Paxos Club Hotel for a couple of nights, a villa near Gaios not far from Gaios on the west coast called Mouzmouli for a week (getting married during that on 31st August) and then the village retreat at Vellianitatika for a week after that to try and relax a bit and have a "mini-moon" with just the future-wif and I. Flying out a fortnight on Friday and cannot wait!

"only" 18 days! I am chuffed to have added a second week. Cannot wait to be sat by the harbour in Loggos or out on the boat with a picnic and a bottle of wine in the cooler.
