Hi
Does anyone have the contact details for the rooms above the Bacchus Taverna at the South end of Messonghi?
Has anyone stayed here and can tell me a bit about them?
Been to Messonghi many times and usually stay at Seaside Studios, but some friends are joining us this year but the Seaside are full, so looking for somewhere close.

Thanks in advance.

This place is in Moraitika, 10minutes stroll into Messonghi. Fantastic place, can give you the contact detail if you like?

Mary Botsis from Pandora Travel, just round the corner from the Seaside, has some lovely simple rooms, some with sea view. They are in that lovely little old village bit in between the beach and road to Psaras.
Her number is 00306945008052 or 26610 75329 office.

Also Next Travel have lots of studios and apartments along that little stretch of beach.

I have booked the Evradike (owned by Seaside) for our last week of our summer holidays, but I think they are a bit further from the beach.

Hope you find Bacchus details though, there is someone on here that has stayed there but can't think who, might be Gerry P?

Hi Aliki.
We stayed at the Bacchus Taverna in 2011 and it was absolutely wonderful. Each accomodation has two double bedrooms (we only used one) a large bathroom with shower but no kitchen. The aircon is very good and is supplied at no extra charge. Can't remember what the nightly rate was for our vist in July.
The taverna is run by the delightful Dimitris and his wife Yana, they are only there during the summer season and return to Patra during the winter. Yana's sister Ifi is always there and she runs the accomodation side of things along with the hairdressers next door.
To make a booking or enquire about the rates for 2013 you will need to phone Ifi on 0030 2661 075568 and she will help.
Tip! If you don't have an international dialling package try using Planet Numbers at 1p a minute by dialling 0844 605 7777 then wait for the prompt then Ifi's number shown above.

Hi Wazzer, I was at the Bacchus last September and I'm sorry to report that Ifi the hairdresser passed away, the family was OK but Yanna's dad well. I stayed there many times on my own, with mum/dad lately with my girlfriend. What I like very, very much is when I get out of the taxi by the "allyway" and walk down to the Bacchus is that view!! Then I know I'm "home" They used to have a web site but not anymore? Maybe this link will help?

Blimey Gerry, you've really shocked me. What happened? We visited the taverna in July last year for a meal and a chat and everything seemed OK. Must have been sudden, she was a lovely lady.

Wazzer, Ifi was taller than Anna and had the hairdressers at the Bacchus so when I was told that Anna's sister the hairdresser had passed away I assumed it was Ifi as I did not see her at all at anytime! Her husband was also not seen at the Bacchus! When ever my mum came on holiday she made it a "mission" to have her hair done there, sad week for me.
