There is now an ATM located in the little supermarket by the beach.
Jesus wants me as a sunbeam. And a jolly good sunbeam am I.

Well, that is going to be useful. I thought there was another one installed at the other supermarket late last year, but perhaps I am mistaken, or it is the one you are talking about. Well perhaps we can get some reports on how well it is stocked for regular use during the season. I will use it if I can. I use that supermarket most days anyway, so ideal for me.

Hi Colin

BOTH supermarkets each have an ATM!

(And here's me remembering days when there were only two telephones in the village ;-) )

I hope people don't mind me jumping in on this thread! We normally stay in Kassiopi but are mixing it up this year and are staying in St. Stephanos. As the accommodation we're staying in this time doesn't have a safe, I am looking at getting one of the currency cards rather than taking cash like we usually would.

However, my parents have put the fear of god in me, saying that the ATM's in Corfu aren't often refilled and will be empty. Having never used an ATM in the many years we've been going to Kassiopi, I honestly don't know. I do however know that I'd be incredibly uncomfortable carrying a fortnight's worth of cash on my person while on holiday (or whilst at home if truth be told!) or leaving that sort of cash out of a safe in the apartment.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Emma.

Cannot comment on the ATM in St. Steph but there are plenty of cashpoints in Kassiopi so very unlikely they will all be empty. There is also an ATM in Kalami this year (adjacent to Gorgios Supermarket)
Beside the sea all worries wash away!!
