Hi,
Going to Agios Gordios for first time 15th September, will all the tavernas shops bars etc still be open? We normally stay in Kalami so are we for a culture shock or would you say it is on par?
We are self catering at Stevens on the Hill so hopefully I have chosen well for accomodation?

Have been to Agios Gordios in late September - early October for the last 5 years. All tavernas, shops and bars should be open for you. Can't compare the village with Kalami but we love it there. Have only heard good of Stevens on the Hill. Happy holiday.

Have been to Ag G and Kalami. but in July...so cant advise on places being open but can compare the two villages.
Ag G is MUCH livelier, but not in a rowdy way at all. Many more bars and restaurants, and quite a few shops. I dont think you will be in for a culture shock though, the village is laid back and very pretty, and the sunsets from the beach are magnificent. Both villages are VERY hilly though
![]() I had four days there last month, my first time, and really loved it, I am sure you will too xxx
ps We went up to Stephens on the Hill one evening, called in for a drink and a nosey

Mike you can relax. I was there about the same time two years ago and if there was anything closed I didn't notice. I stayed at Stevens that time and the place is a real gem.
Indeed I will be back at Stevens on 17th September so hopefully may well meet you there. ![]() David |

We normally visit late September/early October and everything is open. We always stay at the Angelica but have visited Stevens for meals which are lovely! I'm sure you'll have a great time

I thought the season started to wind up early October. Most package holiday flights run until then.

I'd even say later than that Janet. Numerous threads on this Site and it's predecessor show that it is more towards the end of October that things start to slow down. That will vary from resort to resort.
Also easyJet to name but one airline are flying people back to Gatwick up to 11th November. David |
