Hello fellow posters and Kalami addicts.
Arrived back from holidays on 22nd June after a week in paradise (no prizes for guessing where) followed by a weeks Thomson cruise in the med. Apologies for the delay in reporting but as per usual work has interfered with pleasure.

This was our 11th holiday in paradise and what always amazes be about Kalami is that every time we visit it we seem to enjoy ourselves as much as the first time. Perhaps that's the definition of true love!

Anyway, on with the report. We always promise ourselves that we will spread ourselves around and eat at all the tavernas and this time was no exception. However in this posters humble opinion the best quality food and friendliest service by far is at the Kalami Beach Taverna. Nikos and everyone there were absolutely superb and a special mention must go to Nikos' mum Frosso who is the heart and soul of the kitchen.

Our days were spent either on the beach or by the bottom pool. My wifes' preference is the beach but I tend to favour the bottom pool as you can nip in and out of C&D for a chat with Sam, Stavros and Alex.

Stavros was on tenderhooks all week waiting for the new arrival but he did tell us some interesting bits of news. He was in two minds about taking the post in Gouvia but was put off by the fact that the hotel was all inclusive. On that note the A&A have just signed a new contract with Thomson and the good news is that the idea of going all inclusive has been kicked in to touch for the forseeable future.

The regular visitors will no doubt remember Effi and the news of her is that she has taken on the lease of a restaurant in Arillas. We did intend to pop over for a visit but time just ran out on us. No doubt future visitors will eat there and report back.

One last bit of sad news to report. Michael and Kim from the White House were married in October but sadly seperated 6 weeks later and are now divorced. 

On a happier note we are planning to return again in September and this time we'll be bringing my mum who is 91 years young.

	Little Effi is enjoying life In Two Star, San Stef (NW). She is delighted with her new adventure, but does miss, understandably her good friends in Kalami at A&A. We had a couple of evenings with Effi and her husband at Two Stars. If you do go over, give her a call, she will love to see you. She's a lovely lady. Woodie

	Great report Sundowner27. KBT has been our favourite of the Kalami tavernas since our first visit in 2001. We arrive 10 September for 2 weeks so perhaps we'll see you there. Deedee

	I'm in Kaminaki from 11th September and will certainly be coming to Kalimari - and probably Kouloura and Agni too!! David

	Thank you for the info on Effi. we will definitely look her up. We are planning on walking to San Stefanos. We have just got back from Kalami. Wonderful as ever but have decided to try a different part of the island. Just to experiment. Will still go back to Kalami next year. If any of you have been can you recommend any good restaurants similar to KBT, White House and Agni.

	Angieos. You will love Arillas, there are many fantastic tavernas to eat, but you must try "Brouklis". Have you been on the arillas.com website yet? There are loads of Arillas Addicts on there that will tell you their favourites. We will be in Arillas from 31st Aug - 7th Sept. I'm sure that you will have a great time. Becky x

	We always always head straght for the Kalami Beach Taverna when we're in the village too. They always remember us and it's a lovely taverna with very good food.
